Steve, Manager – Trumpet
Steve has many years experience playing Brass. He has played with some of the Top Brass Bands in the World, and top musicians with The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, The Northern Dance Orchestra (now the BBC Northern Radio Orchestra) and of course MAMBO, Latin Tribute Band (to Herb Alpert’s Tijuana Brass) and Latin Party Band which he formed five years ago.
Steve has played at many Prestigious Venues (Royal Albert Hall, Henley on Thames Regatta, Strawberry Studios (of The Beatles Fame) Radio Manchester, Radio Stoke, Gawsworth Hall, and Premiership Football Stadiums) to name a few.
He is extremely passionate in his music and commitment to driving the Band forward to greater heights and recognition within the Music World.

Ray, Lead Vocalist
Ray, joins MAMBO as an extensive and successful Professional Vocalist
Not content simply to stand behind a microphone, he engages with the audience. Even then it’s not just about singing a song – it’s feeling it, interpreting it, and delivering the subtleties and nuances of it’s meaning to the audience.
It’s that ability and appreciation which sets Ray apart from the rest.
MAMBO are delighted to have Ray share his talents and perform the vocals with the band.

Leighroy, Solo Percussion
Leighroy is a very experienced Conga, Bongos percussionist and multi instrumentalist. He is painstaking to detail and perfection in all of his performances. He brings that true Latin sound and feel to the band that gives that unique niche in our repertoire.
Leighroy has played with numerous bands over his music career.
MAMBO are again delighted to have Leighroy as the Solo Percussionist with the Band.

Tony, Keys & Electronics
You could say Tony is the engine room of the Band, creating that solid sound and support to all we do. Tony has had many years experience as a top professional musician and multi instrumentalist, having played ten years with the Royal Marines Band on many Royal Family Events and Government Occasions. After leaving the Royal Marines, Tony continued his music career playing with a number of semi professional bands. This Pedigree (over the years) has produced a confident and versatile top musician.
Although usually positioned towards the back of the Band with his Yamaha Tyros 5, and amongst all the PA, Mixers, Electronics and Synths at his fingertips, Tony is a very much valued Band Member, and his musical influences go hand in hand with the band’s repertiore.
